Sentier des Bois de Lumières

The mountain of Garde Grosse, a remarkable wooded site, is a true lesson in ecology and reading the landscape.

Description

Along the trail, you will discover different types of forest and climates: woods of Black Austrian pines and Scottish pines, woods of Holm oaks and downy oaks, and sweet chestnut woods. All these species indicate the presence of different soil types.

At the heart of the Garde Grosse forest, the trail leads you past eight information panels, all on a painting theme, as well a a few benches from where you can enjoy an unobstructed view over the Dévoluy, the Baronnies, Tricastin and the Mont Ventoux.

There is few shade, do not forget to bring a hat or a cap en enough drinking water.
