Admire the north face of Mont Ventoux from the village of Brantes … An unforgettable moment.

BRANTES AND THE TOULOURENC VALLEY

A fortified village, Brantes clings as best it can onto the side of the Blaye mountain. A hilltop village facing the nearby summit of the Mont Ventoux, the narrow cobbled streets and passages take you from the ruins of the feudal castle to the church overlooking the valley. The village is also home to numerous craftsmen ready to share their passion for traditional skills: santon makers, earthenware makers, etc.

The Toulourenc river originates at the foot of the Banne mountain (near Aulan). It first flows through a series of very picturesque gorges between the Montagne de Buc and Fontcouverte, then flows into Reilhanette before skirting the north face of Mont Ventoux. At the end of a journey of about thirty kilometers, the river flows into the Ouvéze near Mollans-sur-Ouvèze.

Along the valley you can discover the pretty villages of Savoillans and Saint-Léger-du-Ventoux.
